I love going to Epsom, Surrey. It’s a beautiful place with lots of hidden gems that you can visit at any time of day or night. In this post, we’ll look at some of my favourite places in the area.
Epsom Town Hall
The town hall is located at the top of a hill, with a great view of Epsom Downs. It’s a beautiful stone building that dates from the 1770s and was built by Thomas Paine, one of our country’s greatest writers.

St Marys Church
St Marys Church is a Grade II* listed building, built in 1852. The church is located in the centre of Epsom and stands on what was once the site of St Mary’s Priory. It is a Gothic Revival building with green slate roofs, which make it one of the most striking landmarks around town.
St Mary’s Church has been used as a wedding venue since its construction, but it has also had many other uses throughout history: it was originally built as an Anglican church; later became part of the Methodist Circuit; then closed down altogether until 1980 when it reopened with services being held by various evangelical groups until 2004 when they became solely run by your local vicar!
Epsom Aquarium
If you’re looking for a fun day out with the kids, this is the place. The aquarium is home to many different kinds of fish, including sharks, rays and seahorses. You can also find otters at the aquarium.
The best part about taking your children to the Epsom Aquarium? They’ll be able to see some amazing creatures in their natural habitat!
If you’re planning on spending time with friends or colleagues over lunchtime on Sunday morning (or if it’s just too hot outside), then this might be a good option for you!

Woodland Gardens is a popular place to visit in Epsom. It’s an old-fashioned garden filled with beautiful flowers and plants, making it a great place for your weekend getaway!
Woodland Gardens is located just outside of town on the outskirts of Epsom, so you won’t have to worry about getting back into town after you’ve had enough time there.

If you’re looking for somewhere to spend a weekend with friends, or maybe even just an evening, then Epsom should be on your list. The town has plenty of things to see and do that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Here are some suggestions:
- Visit the Grandstand – This was originally built in 1903 as part of the Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace in London. It has been used for racing since 1838 and still hosts regular meetings today. The stand is open daily from 10am to 5pm (last admission 4pm).
- Take a ride on Big Dipper – This theme park offers fun rides for all ages including roller coasters like ‘Gravity Force’ which goes up 100 feet above sea level! There’s also a variety of rides suitable for toddlers too so there will definitely be something here that everyone can enjoy!
- Go shopping at Lidl – If you’re looking for some last-minute groceries before heading home then this supermarket might be able to help out with those needs…
