The Bodleian Library

The Bodleian Library is the largest library in the world. It is located in Oxford, England, and was founded by Sir Thomas Bodley in 1602. It has a collection of over 12 million books and other materials including manuscripts, photographs, maps and prints etc., making it one of the most famous libraries in the world.

The main building was designed by Sir Christopher Wren who also designed St Paul’s Cathedral at London as well as many other notable buildings such as Westminster Abbey (London). The library houses over 3 million printed volumes along with over 2 million items from its own collections such as rare books & manuscripts from all around Europe including medieval texts written on parchment; early printed books relating to astronomy/astrology; scientific instruments used for measuring magnetic fields & gravitation etc.; anatomical specimens preserved beneath glass surfaces so users can see how organs functioned before surgery took place!

St. Thomas’ Hospital

The St. Thomas’ Hospital is a teaching hospital, as well as being a major employer and tourist attraction. It’s also has hosted the Commonwealth Games in 1966, 2002 and 2006. As one of the most important hospitals in England, it’s been used by many famous people over the years including William Shakespeare who was treated here for an illness when he was young man (he died at Stratford upon Avon).

The hospital also has facilities for sporting events such as football matches or rugby internationals between England and other countries such as Australia or New Zealand when they come to play against each other at Twickenham Stadium near London where there are usually crowds gathered from all over Europe watching these matches live on television sets throughout your home country so they can see how well we do against them while competing against each other during these events held annually between nations around world!

Gaselee House

Gaselee House is one of the most important buildings in Reading. It’s also one of the best places to visit in Reading, as it tells an interesting story about how things were done before electricity and cars were common.

Gaselee was built in 1730 by John Gaselee and his wife to be a home for their family after they had moved from their previous residence at nearby Nibley Manor. The house was named after him because he worked as a carpenter, so it probably seemed like a good idea at the time! However, when he died soon afterwards (at age 51), his widow continued living there alone until she married again two years later; this meant that they now needed two houses—and two families—to live under one roof!
