Farnborough

Farnborough is a town in Hampshire, England. It is the home of the Royal Air Force’s Central Flying School and Royal Air Force Museum. Farnborough is also known for its aviation industry, with many companies based here including Airbus Helicopters, which manufactures rescue and firefighting helicopters; Rolls-Royce plc; BAE Systems – which makes engines for fighter aircraft and transport planes; Babcock International Group (formerly known as BMI); Selex Galileo Ltd.; Cobham Technical Services Ltd.; Lockheed Martin UK Ltd.; Raytheon Systems Ltd.; QinetiQ Ltd.; Thales Group plc; Agusta Westland UK Limited (formerly called AWR Limited)

Farnborough Airfield

Farnborough Airfield is a former Royal Air Force base that was used as a training base for pilots. The airfield was decommissioned in 1968 and today it is now home to the Farnborough Conservation Area, which covers approximately 3 square miles of land.

The conservation area is popular with nature lovers and visitors can enjoy walking trails through different habitats including woodland, scrubland and grassland. There are also plenty of places where you can spot wildlife such as foxes or deer grazing on their way through the woods!

Farnborough Museum and Chemicals Heritage Centre

The Farnborough Museum and Chemicals Heritage Centre is a museum dedicated to the history of the town of Farnborough and the surrounding area. The museum is located in the former Farnborough Airfield Administration Building, which was built in 1936.

The building has been restored as an educational resource for children about how chemicals were used during World War II. It also contains displays about local industries such as textiles and brewing.

The National Space Centre

The National Space Centre is a museum and visitor attraction located in the village of Leaside, Ontario, Canada. It was opened in April 2002 and is the only space museum in Canada.

The space centre houses over 100 exhibits for visitors to see including models of spacecrafts from around the world (including Russian Soyuz spacecraft), rockets from all around history, photographs from astronauts who have visited here and even some components from future projects such as Orion’s capsule or SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

Another thing you can do while at this museum takes part in an astronaut simulation which allows you to walk around inside a mockup of an International Space Station module with other people who were also able to take part!

Climb the Tower of London

You can climb the Tower of London in a few different ways:

  • Ticketed tours. These take around an hour and cost between £11 and £15 per person, depending on the length of time you want to spend there. Tickets are available online or in person at one of the ticket booths around the grounds of Tower Hill Station (also known as London Bridge). Be sure to check out our blog post about visiting this area before going ahead with your plans!
  • Unticketed tours. If you’re more interested in getting up close with history than seeing all those royal guardsmen marching around your neck like trophies, then consider taking an unticketed tour—you’ll get much less crowd control from other visitors but still get some great views from above ground level! There are several companies offering this service; we recommend visiting tourist information centres near St Paul’s Cathedral if possible so they can give advice on which company would best suit your needs based on what kind of ticketing options they offer (and whether or not they have any discounts).

Canterbury Cathedral

Canterbury Cathedral is a stunning building, in the centre of the city. The cathedral was founded by King Ethelbert in AD 604, who also gave his name to Kent. It has been rebuilt many times since then and is now one of the most important churches in England.

The front of the cathedral houses an impressive five-stage tower which stands at over 100 feet tall! Inside there are many beautiful stained glass windows depicting scenes from Christian history including The Last Supper (one of my favourites) and Jesus being baptized by John on his way to Galilee (another favourite). There are also some stunning ceiling frescoes that depict stories from Genesis such as Adam & Eve getting exiled from paradise after eating fruit from a forbidden tree; Cain killed Abel because they wanted God’s praise; Noah building an ark so he could survive floodwaters coming down upon the earth; David killing Goliath with sling stone shot from slingshot; Joseph dying peacefully after years spent working as slave-owning Pharaoh’s housemaid girl servant girl cook/assistant cook slave etc. This list goes on forever so don’t try counting them all unless you want your head exploding like mine did when I read this post about how many pages these things can get! Just kidding but seriously though there’s no way anyone could keep track without losing track somewhere along their journey through history.”
